Terms of Service
Last updated: 13 April 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Parod ("we", "us", "our") and the services available at parod.io. By creating an account or using Parod, you agree to these Terms.
1. The service
Parod provides an AI-powered communication coaching tool for software engineers. You submit written responses to workplace scenarios, and our system evaluates them and provides feedback. The service is provided "as is" and is intended for personal professional development.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 16 years old to use Parod. By using the service you confirm that you meet this requirement.
3. Accounts
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account. You must notify us immediately at hello@parod.io if you suspect unauthorised access. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the service for any unlawful purpose
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or abuse the API
- Submit content that is harmful, abusive, or violates the rights of others
- Share your account credentials with others
5. Payments and subscriptions
Pro subscriptions are billed monthly or annually via Stripe. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled. Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis - contact hello@parod.io within 14 days of a charge if you believe there has been an error.
You can cancel at any time from your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period.
6. Intellectual property
You retain ownership of any content you submit (your written responses). You grant Parod a limited licence to process that content to provide the service - specifically, to send it to our AI provider (Anthropic) for evaluation.
We own the Parod platform, branding, and generated feedback content.
Third-party attributions
Persona avatar illustrations are remixed from the Avatar Illustration System by Micah Lanier, licensed under CC BY 4.0.
7. AI-generated content
Feedback and evaluations are generated by AI and are not a substitute for professional career advice. We make no guarantee that feedback is accurate, complete, or appropriate for your specific situation.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Parod is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Our total liability to you in any month shall not exceed the subscription fees paid by you in that month.
9. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or by a prominent notice on the site. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
10. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
